When I joined, Haven had just completed a rebrand project. They had done a quick reskin of the product, adopting palette and broad styling guidelines from the new brand foundation. Additionally, the early Haven app was full of one-off UI elements and underutilized components. As a result, UI inconsistency and design debt was significant. I led a team of 2 Sr Product Designers in creating Freight, a design system foundation to streamline design and development. We approached the project top-down, standardizing components while comprehensively aligning with the new brand.
